To complement sofas, the popular habit in decoration is to place small sofa tables on each side for holding practical things such as remote controls, books, tissues or lighting. They should complement the sofa, not overcrowd it. Since they will be used by everyone in the family, pick ones that are easy to clean or that do not show fingerprints, such as glass tops.
