End tables come in various shapes and styles. These are tables you traditionally place beside your sofa. Actually, you can place them wherever you like, as long as they fit into your basic interior design and blend with the rest of your furniture. You can buy end tables made of birch, teak, cherry or pine. There are ones with metal tops or glass tops. Some are shaped like cubes or hour glasses. You can use your end table as a coffee table or to hold lamps and artwork. An end table can even have drawers and retractable flaps for placing tea cups.
