What would we do without accent tables? Well, we would have nowhere to put lamps or plants. They should blend in the rest of the décor and not overwhelm corners so that the space is still airy and comfortable. Tight furniture too close to the walls and other pieces do not allow air to circulate, and the room looks like it doesn’t have enough space to fit all the furniture. End tables should be just large enough to hold the pieces of art or plants intended to them and should not be placed too close to the wall or window.
