Since coffee tables are the center point of living rooms, it is important that they fit in with the rest of the décor. Having said that, there are other factors to be kept in mind when choosing coffee tables. A glass top will create a feeling of openness. The darker the color, the heavier it will look. If you need extra storage space, there are great coffee tables with built in storage. If the space you have is limited but there are times when you need a bigger coffee table, think of tables with fold down end pieces that can be raised when extra table area is needed.
